- Poster Design
This poster was designed in repsonse to an open brief set by the Bird's Eye View Film Festival. The BEV film festival is an international festival, held at the BFI, that showcases the outstanding work of women filmakers to audiences across the UK. My poster was selected to be exhibited at the British Film Institute in London as part of the 2014 Bird's Eye View Film Festival.
My design seeks to distil the iconic film into a single enduring image; that of the marigold flower. Present in nearly every frame of the movie it represents both longing and celebration. I wanted to create a poster that was at once lush and brooding to represent the range of emotions in the film.
